... should really be something like Tempus Fugit, since I can never seem to add a new entry in less than 2 months.
Since last report, I have incremented (to 46) and Alex has doubled in value (from 1 to 2). Oh, yes, and Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. OY! In order:
My birthday was nice, like many of my days nowadays.
Thanksgiving was a quiet meal with family (including Suzanne, Ben and Marcia), with enough food for an army.
Christmas was remarkable; Alex initially was clueless about what all these wrapped things were for, but by the end of the first two rounds, he was clamoring for more. He's quick that way. He had so many presents, we put half of them away for his birthday, figuring he wouldn't really notice. He didn't.
He started singing "Happy Birthday to Alex" a day or two later, and kept it up for three more weeks (heh heh).
His birthday party had his two bestest little pals, Zoë and Lily, come over for an afternoon of running around the house with balloons. That night, we went over to our good friends David and Julia's house and celebrated the incoming new year.
And all through this, Alex has been getting more and more personic. He is quite verbal, and has no problem telling us what he's thinking about or wants. He also loves to drum and sing, and has picked up Baa Baa Black Sheep, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, the ABC song, Row Row Row Your Boat, and many other family favorites. I have one short video of his early attempts to join in with Twinkle Twinkle, and I hoep to figure out how to get a copy up here for no-one to notice....
