On June 6, 2010, Cy, my feline companion for the last 18 years, passed away peacefully.

It has been a while now. Again.

Since last report, we've had many changes. Anna has returned to the household full time, and that has been largely successful (hooray!).

Let me begin with a moment of silence to honor dad's spirit.

As the family gathered around Dad last week,
we shared stories of our common past,
laughing and crying about the memories.

I had a wonderful birthday two weeks ago. I took Thursday through Monday off, and had a great long weekend around the house.

It seems to me that I must be old. It doesn't seem all that long ago that I was writing here about Ray—but that was back in May.

I found out yesterday that my friend Ray Voorhies passed away a few weeks back. I am stunned, to say the least.

It seems as though time passes quicker as I get older. Odd how the age old clichés about life hold so much truth...

The last couple of weeks have seen quite a bit of rain in our area. This is a Good Thing for California, since it means we are only in Drought condition, as opposed to severe drought condition.

... should really be something like Tempus Fugit, since I can never seem to add a new entry in less than 2 months.

October's surprise is that Friday the Thirteenth comes on Monday (with apologies to Walt Kelly and Pogo).
