As the family gathered around Dad last week,

I had a wonderful birthday two weeks ago. I took Thursday through Monday off, and had a great long weekend around the house.

I found out yesterday that my friend Ray Voorhies passed away a few weeks back. I am stunned, to say the least.

The last couple of weeks have seen quite a bit of rain in our area. This is a Good Thing for California, since it means we are only in Drought condition, as opposed to severe drought condition.
